Chapter 3: The Rescuer

Coming back to the site of the crash, was a feeling of defeat. Not only did we crash but I was unable to find help as well. As I approached the car, I saw B.N. still in the car, eyes closed with her head against the headrest.. I immediately ran towards her because I thought of the worst. B.N. wake up! B.N. answer me!!! Can you hear me? Luckily, she answered and mentioned that she was still in lots of pain.  Even D.S. was still in lots of pain. Suddenly it occurred to me , that both of them could die and I’d be stuck here all alone in desert. I realized that we had to leave the car and start thinking about, how to get out of the desert. He hit his head against the seat and his sunglasses cut his face.‘F*CK!!!!!!!!!!! Are you ok??.... Are you ok? D.S are you ok??’, I screamed.  I turned back to B.N asking if she was ok, which she was not..She was in lots of pain and couldn’t really respond to anything I asked. I then ...

My life and journey as a cabin crew member of Qatar Airways has come to an end. I submitted my resignation letter in the office and my roster was cleared. Therefore I didn’t have any flights and was waiting for approval on my resignation and deportation date. Also the thought of not knowing when I would leave, made me a bit nervous.   However, I wanted to make the best out of my last days in Doha. My birthday was coming up, so that was something to look forward to. As I got home, I went straight to bed and slept for a couple of hours. Later that evening, I had dinner plans with my trainer B.N. Remember her from my previous blog? As I was really tired, I overslept and suddenly received lots of phone calls and angry text messages from her. She (a 50+ year old) even messaged my mom to complain about my behavior.  Eventually, I made it to dinner. We sp...
